Richmond, British Columbia offers easy car accessibility, with ample parking and access to the Canada Line Skytrain for rapid transit. With a slower-paced atmosphere and peaceful streets, Richmond is perfect for those who enjoy spending time in green spaces, as there are over 400 public green spaces nearby. The housing stock consists of a variety of options, including single detached homes, large and small apartment buildings, and townhouses, with a majority of homeowners. Additionally, many of the homes are relatively new, making Richmond a desirable location for potential homebuyers.

Richmond is a very good city to buy a house in for those who prefer a calm environment. This part of the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area is very quiet overall, as the streets are usually very tranquil. Lastly, accessing public green spaces is very easy in the city, since there are over 450 of them nearby for residents to explore and reaching the closest park from the majority of homes is very easy.

Single detached homes are the predominant housing type, representing around 30% of dwellings in Richmond, and the rest are mainly large apartment buildings and small apartment buildings. This city has a good choice of housing sizes, ranging from lofts to four or more bedrooms. Homeowners occupy about 70% of the properties in Richmond whereas renters occupy the remainder. About 40% of homes in this city were built after the year 2000, while many of the remaining buildings were constructed in the 1960s and the 1980s.

It is a rather short distance to get to schools and daycares from most properties for sale in this part of the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area. Along with public schools, there are private primary and high schools. As far as eating is concerned, property owners in Richmond will welcome that a grocery store is always only a rather short trip away. There are also a few choices for those who value nearby restaurants and cafes.

It is convenient for people travelling on foot to navigate Richmond; many daily errands can be run without a car. This city is also reasonably conducive to cycling because the cycling infrastructure is good, and cyclists do not face significant elevation changes. Travelling by car is easy in Richmond. It is convenient to park. However, Richmond is not especially transit friendly. Nonetheless, residents can depend on a multitude of rapid transit stations with access to the Canada Line. There are about 20 bus lines traversing the city, and bus stops are usually very close by.
